Responsibilities
- Design and implement the core architecture for the 2026 autonomous vehicle fleet, ensuring robustness in all weather conditions.
- Oversee the integration of multi-modal sensor fusion (LiDAR, Radar, Camera, Ultrasonic) to create a unified perception model.
- Develop and refine reinforcement learning models to improve path planning and decision-making algorithms.
- Collaborate with the simulation team to create high-fidelity digital twins for testing edge cases.
- Ensure all systems meet rigorous safety standards and regulatory compliance (NHTSA, Euro NCAP).
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers in best practices for safety-critical systems.
- Research and prototype next-generation perception technologies to stay ahead of the curve.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in autonomous driving, robotics, or AI perception systems.
- Deep expertise in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and Python for embedded systems and high-performance computing.
- Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) and sensor drivers.
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required due to the nature of the technology.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
