Responsibilities
- Architect and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with 2026 global innovation goals
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in developing prototype solutions for next-gen AI systems
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry pioneers
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies
- Secure and manage $5M+ innovation budgets for experimental projects
- Present findings to C-suite and external stakeholders at global tech forums
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology leadership with proven 5+ year strategic planning success
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains (quantum computing, AGI, biotech, etc.)
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership in top-tier tech journals (Nature, IEEE, etc.)
- Track record of scaling experimental technologies to commercial viability
- Proficiency in futures methodologies (scenario planning, Delphi techniques)
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants and public funding
- Fluency in Mandarin, Japanese, or German preferred for global collaboration
