Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 2026+ strategic innovation frameworks across quantum AI, sustainable tech, and human augmentation domains
- Analyze emerging geopolitical, climate, and socioeconomic trends to identify disruptive opportunities
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' prototyping next-gen products with 5-year market readiness
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and government agencies for cutting-edge research
- Create annual 'Horizon Scans' forecasting technological inflection points and competitive threats
- Mentor innovation teams in speculative design thinking and scenario planning methodologies
- Secure and manage $5M+ annual innovation budget for moonshot projects
- Present strategic foresight findings to investors and board members quarterly
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, futurism, or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record launching at least three market-defining products/services post-2020
- Advanced degree in Systems Engineering, Futures Studies, or equivalent technical field
- Expertise in horizon scanning, trend analysis, and technology roadmapping frameworks
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex futures into actionable plans
- Published futurist research or keynote speaker at global innovation forums
- Proficiency in futures simulation tools (e.g., Delphi methods, causal layered analysis)
