Our Austin hub offers unparalleled resources including a quantum research lab and neuro-interface testing facilities. This position reports directly to our Chief Innovation Officer and includes executive-level exposure to Fortune 500 partners.
Responsibilities
- Develop predictive models for 2026+ technology adoption across AI, biotech, and quantum domains
- Lead cross-functional workshops with engineers, ethicists, and futurists to identify disruptive opportunities
- Produce horizon-scanning reports on geopolitical and socioeconomic impacts of emerging technologies
- Design human-centered frameworks for next-gen interfaces and autonomous systems
- Establish innovation KPIs and track progress against 2026 technological milestones
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders quarterly
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field with 5+ years strategic foresight experience
- Proven track record of developing technology roadmaps for 5-10 year horizons
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Experience with scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
- Strong data visualization and storytelling skills for complex technical concepts
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Strategic Foresight preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or innovation frameworks
