Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 5-year strategic roadmaps for next-gen technologies
- Conduct horizon-scanning research on AI, biotech, and quantum computing advancements
- Translate future scenarios into actionable product development frameworks
- Collaborate with VPs of Innovation to secure $5M+ annual R&D funding
- Present future-vision briefs to C-suite and external stakeholders
- Mentor junior futurists using proprietary foresight methodologies
- Author quarterly 'Future Pulse' trend reports for industry publication
Qualifications
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or tech R&D leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing future-focused technologies
- Expertise in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
- Strong background in AI, biotech, or quantum computing domains
- Certification in Futures Studies (e.g., from University of Houston
- Published thought leadership in tech futurism (e.g., MIT Tech Review)
- Experience securing >$3M in innovation funding
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field preferred
