Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, neural interfaces)
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis across 12+ innovation domains
- Lead cross-functional workshops with C-suite executives to align on future-proof business models
- Author thought leadership reports published in journals like Future Studies Review and Tech Horizon Quarterly
- Manage $2M+ innovation portfolio with ROI-focused KPI tracking
- Represent the company at global forums like Davos and Singularity Summit
- Mentor junior strategists in futures-thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven expertise in scenario planning and technology impact assessment
- Published work in peer-reviewed futurist journals or top-tier tech publications
- Strong command of quantitative forecasting tools (e.g., Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
- Experience securing government innovation grants (SBIR, DARPA, etc.)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful implementation of futuristic initiatives
- Fluency in at least two of: Mandarin, Arabic, or Japanese for global stakeholder engagement
