Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 innovation roadmap, aligning with long-term strategic objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing next-gen technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, sustainable systems)
- Identify emerging trends and disruptors, translating insights into actionable R&D priorities
- Secure strategic partnerships with academia, startups, and Fortune 500 companies
- Drive innovation governance frameworks ensuring ethical, scalable, and commercially viable outcomes
- Mentor talent and cultivate a culture of radical experimentation and calculated risk-taking
- Report to CTO on innovation KPIs, ROI, and competitive landscape analysis
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech innovation leadership with proven impact in emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, decentralized systems, or sustainable tech
- Track record of launching products/services with $10M+ market impact
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Strong network within Silicon Valley's innovation ecosystem
- Exceptional strategic thinking with ability to balance vision with execution
- Experience scaling innovation teams and managing multi-million dollar R&D budgets
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry forums
