- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government labs for future-focused R&D
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite and board, securing $10M+ annual R&D budgets
- Mentor junior innovators in futures-thinking methodologies and ethical tech deployment
- Monitor geopolitical shifts and regulatory landscapes to anticipate innovation barriers
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or innovation leadership with proven 5-year roadmap delivery
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (quantum computing, AI ethics, sustainable tech)
- Track record of securing $5M+ R&D budgets and managing cross-continental innovation teams
- Published thought leadership on future tech trends (IEEE, Nature Futures, or equivalent)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies with PhD preferred
- Fluency in futures forecasting methodologies (Delphi, horizon scanning, scenario planning)
- Experience navigating complex regulatory environments for emerging technologies
- Portfolio of commercialized innovations with measurable market impact
