Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic roadmaps for 2026+ technology adoption across AI, quantum computing, and biotech integration
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and deploying experimental systems with 3-5 year vision horizons
- Analyze emerging tech trends (neurointerfaces, synthetic biology, quantum networks) to identify disruptive opportunities
- Design ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and human augmentation technologies
- Secure $10M+ in innovation grants and partnerships with academic/industry leaders
- Present future-state scenarios to C-suite executives and board stakeholders
- Mentor next-generation engineers in foresight methodologies and speculative design
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology R&D with demonstrable impact on future-shaping initiatives
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or Future Studies
- Proven track record of launching at least two breakthrough technologies (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Expertise in systems thinking and scenario planning methodologies
- Published research in IEEE Nature or equivalent tier-1 journals on emerging tech
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., WFS, APF) or equivalent foresight training
- Experience securing federal DARPA/NASA grants for speculative technology
- Portfolio demonstrating 5+ years of ethical tech design and implementation
