Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze emerging technologies with 2026+ commercial viability
- Develop strategic roadmaps for AI integration, quantum computing applications, and sustainable tech
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future trends into actionable R&D priorities
- Author thought leadership reports on disruptive tech impacts across healthcare, energy, and mobility
- Partner with product teams to prototype next-gen interfaces and experiences
- Advocate for ethical innovation frameworks in rapid tech development cycles
- Represent Horizon Labs at global tech foresight summits and industry consortiums
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 8 years experience in emerging technology research or strategic innovation
- Proven track record of forecasting tech trends with 85%+ accuracy
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neurotech, synthetic biology, or climate tech
- Exceptional systems thinking with ability to connect disparate technological domains
- Prior experience publishing in IEEE Nature or similar high-impact journals
- Strong network with leading research institutions (MIT, Stanford, ETH Zurich, etc.)
- Portfolio demonstrating future technology impact analysis or scenario planning
