Responsibilities
- Develop 10-year technology roadmaps for emerging domains (quantum AI, neural interfaces, climate tech)
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen systems with MIT and NASA collaborators
- Analyze sociotechnical shifts to identify market opportunities in 2026-2035 horizon
- Present strategic forecasts to C-suite and board members quarterly
- Curate an annual 'FutureTech Summit' featuring industry pioneers
- Manage $5M+ innovation portfolio with venture-style funding cycles
- Author thought leadership publications in Nature Futures and TechCrunch
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futuristics (or equivalent experience)
- 15+ years in technology strategy with Fortune 500 or deep tech startups
- Published research in quantum computing or AI ethics (IEEE/ACM publications)
- Proven track record of launching technologies with 10+ year impact cycles
- Expertise in scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) or venture capital >$10M
- Fluency in Mandarin or German for international collaborations
