Responsibilities
- Architect 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 industry forecasts and societal shifts
- Lead research initiatives on emerging technologies (quantum, neural interfaces, synthetic biology)
- Develop predictive analytics models for technology adoption curves and market disruption
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to integrate future-tech strategies into corporate vision
- Present technology foresight findings to investors and board members through compelling narratives
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs for cutting-edge innovation
- Anticipate ethical implications of emerging technologies and design governance frameworks
- Mentor junior futurists in strategic foresight methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist roles
- Proven track record in developing long-term tech roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Exceptional systems thinking with ability to model complex future scenarios
- Published author or keynote speaker at major tech conferences (CES, Web Summit, etc.)
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Portfolio demonstrating successful technology forecasting implementations
