Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical governance frameworks for autonomous decision-making systems
- Conduct bias audits and fairness assessments across AI training datasets
- Develop explainability protocols for complex neural networks
- Collaborate with product teams to embed ethical considerations in AI lifecycle
- Represent Nexus in international AI ethics consortiums (e.g., IEEE 7001)
- Create transparency reports for regulatory compliance (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF)
- Mentor cross-functional teams on responsible AI development practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years implementing AI governance frameworks in regulated industries
- Published research on algorithmic bias mitigation or explainable AI
- Expertise in ISO/IEC 42001 and NIST AI Risk Management Framework
- Experience with adversarial testing of autonomous systems
- Proficiency in Python for bias auditing tools (AIF360, Fairlearn)
- Strong background in regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA)
