Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI ethics frameworks aligned with EU AI Act, NIST standards, and emerging global regulations
- Conduct bias audits and risk assessments for ML models using Explainable AI (XAI) techniques
- Partner with engineering teams to embed ethical safeguards into AI development lifecycle
- Advocate for responsible AI practices through stakeholder education and policy development
- Monitor regulatory trends and update governance protocols for autonomous systems
- Lead incident response protocols for AI-related ethical breaches
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Ethics, Public Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 3+ years experience in AI ethics, governance, or regulatory compliance
- Expertise in bias detection tools (Aequitas, IBM AI Fairness 360)
- Deep understanding of NIST RMF, EU AI Act, and FTC AI guidelines
- Strong technical aptitude to interpret ML model behavior and data pipelines
- Certification in AI governance (e.g., CertEthics AI, CAIP) or equivalent experience
