Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and assist with clinical procedures
- Accurately document patient information in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Administer injections, perform phlebotomy, and collect laboratory specimens
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient correspondence
- Maintain clean and organized examination rooms and medical equipment
- Assist with patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or similar preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- California MA certification (or eligible within 90 days)
