Responsibilities
- Accurately process medical claims and insurance submissions using Epic software
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for all procedures
- Resolve billing discrepancies through direct communication with insurers
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure coding compliance (CPT/ICD-10)
- Generate monthly financial reports for department leadership
- Train staff on billing protocols and regulatory updates
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience with commercial insurance
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic EMR and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage high-volume claims with accuracy
