Responsibilities
- Lead strategic foresight initiatives to map technology horizons through 2026+ across AI, biotech, quantum, and climate tech domains
- Develop and execute innovation frameworks that transform nascent technologies into scalable commercial solutions
- Champion cross-functional collaboration between R&D, product, and business teams to align innovation with market needs
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and research labs to source cutting-edge technologies
- Design and oversee proof-of-concept programs for breakthrough innovations with potential $100M+ market impact
- Present innovation roadmaps and investment recommendations to executive leadership and board stakeholders
- Mentor a team of innovation specialists while cultivating a culture of calculated risk-taking and rapid experimentation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership with proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two future tech domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI safety, climate tech, or neuro interfaces
- Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through ambiguous innovation cycles with measurable outcomes
- Strong network within global tech ecosystems including VCs, accelerators, and research institutions
- Advanced degree in relevant field (MBA, PhD in CS/Engineering preferred) with demonstrated thought leadership
- Portfolio of successfully launched innovations or patents in future technology domains
