Responsibilities
- Lead R&D initiatives for 2026 technology horizons including quantum-resistant cryptography and neuro-interfaces
- Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps aligned with UN SDGs and emerging market demands
- Partner with MIT/Stanford on next-gen AI safety protocols and ethical frameworks
- Manage $15M+ annual innovation portfolio with ROI-driven resource allocation
- Present strategic visions to C-suite and board members with data-backed scenarios
- Build and lead 12-person multidisciplinary pod of futurists and engineers
- Secure patents for proprietary technologies in AR/VR and climate adaptation
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science/Engineering with 8+ years in tech strategy
- Published research in Nature/Science on AI ethics or quantum applications
- Proven track record scaling tech ventures from concept to market leadership
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (e.g., biotech, fusion energy)
- Experience securing >$50M in government grants or VC funding for R&D
- Certified in Futures Thinking from World Future Society or equivalent
- Portfolio of implemented technologies impacting >10M users
- Fluency in Mandarin or Arabic for global partnerships
