Responsibilities
- Forecast and analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI) through 2026 horizon scanning
- Develop multi-year technology roadmaps aligning with business objectives and market disruption potential
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Present technology disruption scenarios to C-suite and board members
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Establish KPIs for technology adoption and market impact metrics
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or corporate innovation leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or AGI
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Strategic Foresight (e.g., WFS certification)
- Experience building innovation ecosystems in Fortune 500 or unicorn environments
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Portfolio demonstrating successful technology disruption initiatives
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive audiences
