Responsibilities
- Scan horizon for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, sustainable systems) with 2026+ market potential
- Develop technology roadmaps aligning with company vision and industry disruption timelines
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Analyze patent landscapes and competitor strategies in emerging tech domains
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board members with data-driven recommendations
- Build partnerships with research institutions and venture capital firms
- Mentor junior strategists in future-thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- 8+ years in strategic technology planning or innovation management
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum, AR/VR, etc.)
- Proven track record of commercializing forward-looking technologies
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business with tech focus
- Exceptional data analysis and scenario planning skills
- Strong network within venture capital and R&D communities
- Published thought leadership in technology foresight or innovation strategy
- Experience with agile methodologies and rapid prototyping
