- Architect strategic partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs
- Present technology forecasts and innovation strategies to C-suite executives
- Mentor innovation teams in rapid prototyping and agile development methodologies
- Secure and manage R&D budgets exceeding $5M annually
- Monitor global tech ecosystems to identify disruptive opportunities
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 or scale-up experience
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough technologies with measurable market impact
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Executive presence with ability to influence C-suite and board stakeholders
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies
- Experience managing distributed R&D teams across global markets
- Strong financial acumen for budgeting and ROI analysis
