Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps integrating quantum computing, advanced AI, and decentralized systems
- Lead cross-functional workshops with VPs of Engineering to prototype 2026-ready solutions
- Conduct market analysis for emerging tech trends (neuromorphic chips, synthetic biology interfaces)
- Present strategic briefings to C-level stakeholders on technology adoption timelines
- Manage $2M+ R&D portfolio for experimental projects with 18-month commercialization horizons
- Partner with academic institutions to license breakthrough patents
- Author thought leadership pieces for industry publications on the future of work
Qualifications
- 10+ years in enterprise tech strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech forecasting
- Expertise in at least three of: quantum algorithms, generative AI ethics, climate tech modeling
- Proven track record of launching technologies with 3+ year lead times
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., from Institute for the Future)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful tech commercialization cycles
- Experience with scenario planning for geopolitical and climate disruptions
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Proficiency in Python for prototyping and data modeling
