Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Develop strategic roadmaps for quantum-resistant cryptography and AI governance frameworks
- Partner with engineering teams to prototype next-gen interfaces (BCI, AR/VR, haptics)
- Advocate ethical tech adoption through policy whitepapers and industry consortiums
- Forecast market disruption vectors using predictive analytics and scenario modeling
- Secure $2M+ annual R&D funding through compelling innovation proposals
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech innovation or corporate R&D leadership
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or neurotech
- Proven track record of launching technologies with >$100M market impact
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies
- Published thought leadership in IEEE Nature or similar tier-1 journals
- Security clearance for national technology initiatives preferred
- Fluency in at least one programming language (Python, Rust, or Solidity)
