Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech) to develop 5-year strategic roadmaps
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects integrating next-gen technologies into commercial applications
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and startups for innovation scouting
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives with data-driven impact assessments
- Monitor global tech policy shifts and regulatory landscapes affecting 2026+ innovations
- Develop patent strategies for proprietary future-facing technologies
- Mentor junior researchers in future-tech methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or emerging tech analysis
- Proven track record of implementing futuristic technologies in commercial environments
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (e.g., generative AI, neurotech, sustainable tech)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts into business strategy
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Excellent presentation skills for executive and technical audiences
