Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology strategy roadmap aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead horizon scanning research on emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Conduct competitive analysis and market opportunity assessments
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members
- Manage innovation portfolio with $50M+ annual R&D budget
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and tech startups
- Mentor junior strategists and foster cross-departmental innovation culture
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation management
- Proven track record of developing future-focused technology roadmaps
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business
- Expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI/ML, quantum, etc.)
- Experience presenting to C-suite and board-level executives
- Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
