- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Design and execute pilot programs for next-gen tech solutions in partnership with Fortune 500 clients
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and investment committees
- Build and mentor a high-performing innovation lab team of 8-12 specialists
- Author thought leadership publications on future technology impacts
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with proven experience in emerging tech ecosystems
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Future Studies
- Expertise in quantum computing, generative AI, or sustainable tech implementation
- Portfolio demonstrating technology commercialization success (min. 3 case studies)
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., CFT) or Technology Strategy (e.g., CTS)
- Strong network within Silicon Valley, Austin tech, and global R&D communities
- Experience securing $5M+ innovation budgets and managing complex vendor ecosystems
- Published thought leadership in IEEE or MIT Technology Review
