Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market forecasts and scientific breakthroughs
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions for 2026 challenges
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum, AI, biotech) and assess commercial viability
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board of directors
- Partner with venture capital teams to identify disruptive startup opportunities
- Design ethical frameworks for emerging technology adoption
- Author thought leadership publications and speak at industry conferences
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Proven track record of implementing future-focused initiatives
- Certification in technology forecasting (e.g., Gartner, Forrester)
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision making
- Exceptional communication and executive presentation abilities
