Responsibilities
- Develop and execute technology roadmaps targeting 2026-2030 innovation horizons
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, and biotech convergence
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Translate technical capabilities into market-ready products and services
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget with ROI-driven decision frameworks
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 or unicorn startups
- Proven track record in scaling AI/ML solutions to enterprise level
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, blockchain, synthetic biology)
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Experience with patent portfolios and IP commercialization strategies
