Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and scaling emerging technologies (quantum, AI, bioinformatics)
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify breakthrough opportunities and competitive threats
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-tech innovations into commercial solutions
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Drive innovation culture through hackathons, patents, and academic partnerships
- Manage $2M+ annual R&D budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with 5+ years in future-tech domains
- Proven track record of launching disruptive products or platforms
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech areas: quantum computing, AGI, or climate tech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Published research or patents in peer-reviewed journals/conferences
- Experience scaling global teams across 3+ countries
- Certification in technology foresight (e.g., WFS, APF) or equivalent training
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
