Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across technology, geopolitics, and social dynamics to identify 2026+ opportunities and threats
- Develop multi-year strategic roadmaps with quantifiable impact metrics for product development and market positioning
- Facilitate executive workshops and stakeholder dialogues to align leadership on future scenarios
- Author thought leadership publications and white papers that position Horizon as a 2026 thought leader
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, academics, and industry pioneers
- Integrate foresight methodologies into product innovation and corporate strategy processes
- Present strategic recommendations to the board and executive leadership with data-backed confidence
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-focused leadership role
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, Business Strategy, or related field
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and strategic modeling frameworks
- Published author or frequent speaker at global innovation/futures conferences
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, biotech) and societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling abilities with executive-level communication skills
- Portfolio demonstrating successful translation of foresight into business outcomes
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFPC, APF) or equivalent practical experience
