Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology foresight frameworks using trend analysis, scenario planning, and AI-driven modeling
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify and prioritize emerging technologies (quantum, AGI, bio-integration)
- Produce strategic briefings for executive leadership on disruptive market forces
- Partner with product teams to embed future-readiness into development lifecycles
- Establish innovation KPIs and track technology adoption curves across industries
- Represent company at global futurist forums and thought leadership summits
- Mentor junior strategists in futures research methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning, consulting, or R&D leadership
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Published research or patents in emerging tech domains (blockchain, quantum computing, etc.)
- Proficiency in foresight tools (Horizon scanning, Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
- Experience building technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 or unicorns
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Portfolio showcasing 3+ successful tech predictions validated by market outcomes
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (preferred)
