Responsibilities
- Maintain Vigilance: Constantly monitor the swimming pool area to prevent accidents and enforce all safety rules and regulations.
- Emergency Response: Perform rescues and administer CPR/First Aid immediately and effectively in the event of an emergency.
- Teach Swimming: Conduct age-appropriate swimming lessons, focusing on stroke technique, water safety, and confidence building.
- Patron Assistance: Provide excellent customer service to members and guests, answering questions and ensuring a positive experience.
- Facility Maintenance: Regularly check pool equipment, chemical levels, and cleanliness to maintain a pristine aquatic environment.
- Administer First Aid: Treat minor injuries and illnesses on-site with professional care.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 15 years old.
- Certifications: Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications are mandatory.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to pass a swim test demonstrating proficiency in the water and physical endurance.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to give clear, concise instructions to students and patrons.
- Attitude: A positive, professional attitude and a commitment to safety.
