- Assist Providers: Support physicians and nurses during patient examinations and medical procedures.
- Patient Intake: Accurately measure and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and symptoms.
- Room Preparation: Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a safe, clean environment.
- Laboratory Support: Collect and process blood samples and other lab specimens according to strict protocols.
- Patient Education: Provide clear instructions on medications, treatments, and health maintenance to patients.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient check-ins, verify insurance information, and maintain electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification preferred but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
- Experience: No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy and clear communication.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
