Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care during overnight hours, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care plans
- Respond promptly to emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Assist new patients with admission procedures and orientation
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina CNA or LPN license (required)
- Minimum 1 year acute care or hospital experience
- Valid CPR/BLS certification (must maintain)
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (8+ hours)
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency for medical documentation
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
