Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during overnight shifts including vital sign monitoring and mobility assistance
- Assist with patient hygiene, feeding, and comfort measures as needed
- Accurately document patient observations and care activities in electronic health records
- Collaborate with night shift nurses and medical staff to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
- Support patient admission and discharge processes during overnight hours
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA or medical assistant certification preferred
- Minimum 6 months experience in healthcare or patient care setting
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently during night shifts
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Availability to work flexible night shift schedule (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Valid California driver's license if transporting patients
