Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, positioning, and mobility assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient status in electronic health records
- Assist with ECGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection procedures
- Transport patients safely using specialized equipment
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with RNs and physicians to develop care plans
- Respond to emergency situations using BLS certification protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CNA or PCT certification preferred (training provided)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for 12-hour shifts
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required
- Valid Louisiana driver's license for patient transport
