Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately measure vital signs and document patient information in EHR systems
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests including urinalysis and blood draws
- Schedule appointments and maintain efficient clinic workflows
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Ensure exam rooms are sanitized and stocked with necessary supplies
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic or similar systems)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional holidays
