Job Description
At Nexus Horizon Labs, we are not just preparing for the future; we are architecting it. As we approach the pivotal year of 2026, we are seeking a visionary Quantum AI Research Scientist to pioneer the next generation of computational intelligence. Join our elite team in Seattle and help bridge the gap between theoretical physics and practical artificial intelligence.
In this high-impact role, you will lead the development of quantum algorithms that redefine machine learning capabilities. You will work in a state-of-the-art facility, collaborating with world-class physicists and data scientists to solve problems deemed impossible by classical computers today.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum algorithms tailored for machine learning and optimization tasks.
- Conduct theoretical research to mitigate noise and error rates in current quantum hardware.
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate quantum solutions into hybrid classical-quantum AI frameworks.
- Prototype novel quantum neural networks and assess their performance against standard AI models.
- Author and publish high-impact research papers in leading quantum computing and AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, QIP).
- Provide mentorship to junior researchers and guide the technical roadmap for 2026 and beyond.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience in quantum computing, quantum information theory, or advanced AI research.
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages such as Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#.
- Strong foundation in linear algebra, probability theory, and advanced calculus.
- Experience with Python, TensorFlow, or PyTorch for classical machine learning benchmarks.
- Demonstrated ability to think abstractly and solve complex, unstructured problems.
