Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography problems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum circuits for NISQ devices
- Develop error mitigation techniques for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead client projects implementing quantum solutions in finance and healthcare
- Mentor junior researchers and publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually
- Secure $1M+ in research grants through NSF and DoD partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS with exceptional experience)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane with 3+ years of quantum programming
- Publication record in quantum algorithm development or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) and parallel processing
- Strong Python/C++ skills with scientific computing libraries (NumPy, SciPy)
- Security clearance eligibility for government contracts
