Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures leveraging superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in building fault-tolerant quantum processors with >1000 qubits
- Implement error correction protocols achieving >99.9% fidelity for commercial deployment
- Partner with hardware teams to co-design quantum control systems and cryogenic interfaces
- Drive quantum software development using Q#, Qiskit, and proprietary frameworks
- Establish security protocols for quantum-resistant cryptography systems
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and contribute to open-source quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum error correction codes
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, Cirq) and simulation tools
- Strong background in superconducting qubit manipulation and microwave control systems
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, AWS Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier quantum computing journals
- Demonstrated leadership in delivering quantum computing projects with measurable business impact
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy thresholds and NISQ-era limitations
