Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for enterprise-scale applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and engineers in quantum algorithm development
- Develop error-correction protocols for quantum processors operating at 20-millisecond coherence times
- Partner with government agencies to secure quantum-resistant encryption standards
- Research breakthrough applications in drug discovery, climate modeling, and materials science
- Present quantum roadmaps to C-suite executives and venture capitalists
- Mentor junior quantum engineers in cutting-edge methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in developing quantum algorithms with 100+ qubit simulations
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum computing breakthroughs
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, Cirq)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in topological quantum computing and Majorana fermions
