Job Description
Join Nexus Labs at the forefront of technological evolution as we pioneer quantum computing solutions for 2026 and beyond. We seek a Quantum Computing Architect to design and implement next-gen quantum algorithms that will revolutionize industries from pharmaceuticals to logistics. This role demands a blend of theoretical physics expertise and practical engineering prowess to transform quantum theory into scalable, real-world applications.
You will collaborate with Nobel Prize-winning physicists and elite software engineers to build quantum systems operating at temperatures colder than deep space. Our Austin facility houses state-of-the-art cryogenic quantum processors and hybrid classical-quantum supercomputing infrastructure. If you're ready to shape the computational paradigm of the future, this is your calling.
Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum circuits for NISQ-era processors and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Architect quantum error correction protocols for scalable quantum networks
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating quantum algorithms into production-ready implementations
- Research and integrate emerging quantum technologies (topological qubits, photonics, etc.)
- Establish quantum security frameworks for post-quantum cryptographic systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-software-hardware co-design
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and circuit optimization
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science journals or top-tier conferences
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance principles
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in complex algorithm design and high-performance computing
- Ability to communicate quantum concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
