Responsibilities
- Architect quantum computing roadmaps targeting 2026 commercialization milestones
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for enterprise applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit architectures
- Secure $5M+ in government and private quantum research grants
- Present breakthrough findings at premier quantum conferences (Q2C, APS March)
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information science
- Partner with NASA, IBM, and MIT on quantum space-time modeling projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
- 8+ years of quantum computing research with peer-reviewed publications
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum hardware
- Proven track record of securing government research funding
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and error mitigation
- Published work in Nature/Science quantum computing papers
