Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in building fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with industry partners to identify quantum use cases for 2026 market readiness
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor 5+ researchers while publishing 2+ high-impact papers annually
- Develop quantum security protocols for next-gen financial systems
- Oversee deployment of quantum cloud services for enterprise clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published record in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Track record securing federal research grants
- Experience mentoring PhD-level researchers
- Deep understanding of quantum advantage applications in logistics, AI, and materials science
- Strong background in superconducting or photonic quantum systems
