Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum computing research roadmaps aligned with 2026 technological milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Oversee qubit stabilization and error-correction protocol development
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Secure and manage $5M+ in annual research grants and partnerships
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at industry conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and establish quantum computing best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of quantum research experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction, algorithm design, and qubit manipulation
- Experience leading research teams with $1M+ budgets
- Familiarity with quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Strong knowledge of cryogenic systems and quantum hardware integration
- Exceptional grant-writing and stakeholder communication skills
