Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm research and development for real-world applications
- Design and execute experimental protocols for quantum system optimization
- Mentor a multidisciplinary team of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners on industry-specific quantum solutions
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and present at global conferences
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants and partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong programming skills (Python, C++, Q#)
- Experience leading R&D teams and managing research budgets
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, ion trap)
