Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum computing research roadmap targeting 2026 breakthrough milestones
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams in developing novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with 100+ qubit stability
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Publish 4+ peer-reviewed papers in Nature/Science journals annually
- Mentor PhD researchers and patent 3+ quantum innovations yearly
- Present findings at global quantum summits including IEEE QCE and Q2B
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years R&D experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature Quantum, PRX Quantum)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven track record leading quantum algorithm development (Shor's, VQE, QAOA)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience securing government research grants ($500K+)
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies preferred
