Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and engineers in prototyping quantum processors
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government grants and private partnerships
- Develop quantum-resistant cybersecurity frameworks for enterprise clients
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum physics
- Shape industry standards through IEEE and ISO committees
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven track record of securing government research funding
- Published 10+ peer-reviewed papers in top-tier journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum simulation frameworks
- Experience mentoring research teams and managing budgets >$1M
