Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary research teams in quantum algorithm development and optimization
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for commercial applications
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners to solve complex industry challenges using quantum solutions
- Secure $2M+ in research grants and publish findings in top-tier journals
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish patent portfolios for breakthrough innovations
- Develop roadmaps for quantum advantage in cryptography and machine learning
- Present findings at global tech summits and industry conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological qubit systems
- Strong background in machine learning frameworks adapted for quantum processors
- Demonstrated success securing federal research grants (NSF, DARPA, etc.)
- Experience leading teams of 10+ researchers in high-stakes environments
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Active security clearance preferred
