Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum computing R&D roadmap targeting 2026 commercial viability milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing novel quantum error correction protocols
- Collaborate with industry partners to identify quantum-resistant cryptography solutions
- Publish peer-reviewed research and secure patents for quantum algorithms
- Drive quantum hardware-software co-design initiatives for scalable quantum processors
- Manage $15M+ research budget and strategic vendor relationships
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 10+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals or equivalent tier
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, and NISQ-era computing
- Experience leading quantum hardware projects with demonstrated scalability results
- Deep knowledge of quantum machine learning and quantum simulation techniques
- Strong background in cryogenic systems and quantum control engineering
- Exceptional ability to translate complex quantum concepts for non-technical stakeholders
